Guys

I am not very good at writing summary like most of the others here. If you ask me questions i would be better in responding. There are tons of article/R2I diaries from others available here. It is pretty much the same stuff except few changes.

I do not come here very often. I am not sarcastic in any way. I cannot relate to most of the stuff happening in US. My interactions in US has been minimal - only on investments, tax, education, official stuff. I am not following life in US or politics in US.

Our lives revolve around Indian way of life. and you wont find difference between me and the guy born and brought up in india. We are USC. All the questions you have about india has been answered and not many I add here unless there some specific questions. Now the pertinent question - when reflect on why i came to india, it is mixture of multiple things . 1, Longing for a middle class life 2, Better environment for developing psychological, spiritual and emotional well being. That is the biggest benefit so far. If you are close to 50 then you might be able to relate to my feedback. It is not that i do not miss US. I do miss US especially missing UG for my daughter etc. Any way - kids have to figure their life on their own

If the aspiration is to acquire more on education , wealth etc, stay put in LIA. It is okay where you are in life. Be peace with yourself. You have to try to something on your own to see whether you like it or not.

Srini
Can you please share details of your kids college education ( whether the kid enrolled in professional courses or other degrees)
Was your kid treated like any other Indian citizen during college admission or did you have to pay NRI fees/donation.

Thanks

I have enrolled my daughter in a typical chennai institution. We have enrolled her with NRI fees. If i had opted to compete as regular indian college going kid, she would not stand a chance. That is where FN & DASA category comes as saviour.
