US passort holder lost OCI travelling in Europe while Employed in India

Hi ,
My entire family members lost our OCI cards while vacationing in Europe in June of 2018. We all are US passport holders, We got the emergency temporary US passports in Switzerland and got the Indian X-1 Entry visa valid for a year in Rome and we returned to India on Entry visa. Question :
1) Am I still eligible to work in India although I lost my OCI cards? Or is my OCI status now invalid as I enterd India on Entry visa ?

in my opinion, quoting ur old OCI Card # (if you remember) you need to apply for a newer one along with the proof of the latest X visa copy, usa passport copy of immigration dept. stamping date at india airport ( port of entry).
not sure, may be u need to scrap ur old oci and had to apply for a newer one. pl dont delay. apply it fast.
always X-entry visa can be converted to as OCI card as you have the proof of indian origin.
Not sure at which city do u leave at india.

I'm in a somewhat similar situation -- lost my US passport and OCI card in the US :(

I need to travel to India in 1-2 months, so I'm going to first apply for a US passport. Then do I apply for a duplicate OCI card (which can take a while), or get a temp visa to travel to India (if possible), then get a duplicate OCI card after I return ? I can travel to the NYC consultate or outsourced visa handlers in NYC if necessary.

I do have photocopies of my OCI card and passport.

Did you try and call the CKGS in NYC. Usually, they are helpful in telling which process to follow.
