PIO lost - OCI needs original

We are applying for OCI, family of 4. My daughter's PIO seems to be lost but I have the copy of PIO. Will that be enough, note that they specifically say send the original.
Will they reject the application or will it be ok?

Looks like you have a couple of options:
1. Call the consulate where the OCI documents are and ask them for guidance as to what to do.
2. Report to local police that you have lost it and get a copy of the police report and then submit that with the copy of the pio card. You may want to "search" what people had done for lost passports in the USA and follow that model of action(s).
