Hi

Sorry to ask this question again but just wanted to double check if OCI are eligible for JEE Main Enterance exam 2015?

While filling up the form , it gives 4 options in Nationality - Indian / OCI / PIO / Foreign - Other than OCI,PIO. Whatever you select , it doesn't stop to submit the online application and print admission card.

http://jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/pdf/JEE_Main_Bulletin%202015.pdf (Page 17)

Nationality - Indian / OCI/PIO/ Foreign ? Other than OCI,PIO
(OCI/PIO/Foreign candidates are not eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs through JEE
(Main) Channel)

As per this buletin , it doesn;t seems like OCI are eligible.

Thanks

OCI student is eligible to write the exam. Theya re not eligible for direct admission to NIT/IIITs/CFTIs though this exam- for those institutes they have to apply through DASA scheme. But these exams cater to many other institutes too , so you can stll try your luck. plus one has to clear JEE Main to be able to write the advanced

How about we form a group and represent to PMO office and also have a channel of communication opened for the next Pravasi Divas.

This rule should change for OCI holders who live in india. They should be treated at par with Indian Students.

Hello,
I feel the above links are talking about eligibility for Indian citizens. Please refer to my attachment. It is clearly stating that government seats are for Indian citizens only (academic eligibility point 2) which seems logical. I think we have to focus on COMED-K. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
