OCI/Indian visa for infant born in India

Hi all,
Father: USC
Mother: Indian
Child: Now USC (Just got the US passport and CRBA certificate from the consulate)
Location: Bangalore
We will be staying in India for the next couple of years and need to get a valid Indian visa for our child (that can also be used for foreign travel) . From the threads, I believe that the process is to apply for an Entry visa from the FRRO office and then for an OCI. I also read that you can do both simultaneously but the online FRRO form @ http://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/applicationForm.jsp is allowing us to checkbox only one.
Has anyone gone through this process recently and can share their experience. Existing threads for this situation are almost 3 years old.
Thanks in advance!
