Hello Everyone, Am chandana currently in California, USA. In H4 Visa. Right now am looking for some trustworthy consultants in the bay area to apply for H1B visa this year. If you know any one, Please forward me the contact info..This is really important to me.Hope u guys understand...

Define trustworthy. Goofle the names of consulting companies and cold call them. Also use the network of your spouse. That might come in handy. Most small consulting firms no longer sponsor H1 visas due to the laws. See if your spouses company will hire you.

I thought there was a plan to allow EAD for H4 visa holders (work permit). What happened to that?

That is too limited. Only those H4 who got extension under AC21, (meaning extension after 6 years) or who got I140 is approved may get EAD.

But I don't know the latest updates.

I 140 approval process is not long
it takes may be around 1-1.5 years to get approved for I140 after applying for GC and in some cases 6-9 months
