I'm US Citizen, my parents visitor visa expired 2 years ago, he is close to 70 years - Do we need to go through the same process of applying for visitor visa similar to first time ? or can we renew it without interview ? What kind of supporting documents do we need to send ? I see an exhaustive list at https://www.immihelp.com/visitor-visa/sponsor-documents.html

Do we need to sent Income Tax Documents, Bank Statements, Proof Employment, etc ?

My parents, former green card holders and in their mid-80s went through the whole process including in-person interview to get tourist visas. This was in 2016.
