Hello friends,

I got this unique question asked by my friend

Q: Does he need to apply new OCI or transfer OCI on US passport if he recently obtained US citizenship?
Q: Is it possible to transfer OCI to US passport permanently since he will be living in US now?
Q: OCI is still valid (lifelong visa) but can you travel from USA to India on US passport and show OCI on expired British passport when you land in India?

My friend
1. Hold's British passport (expired now)
2. OCI sticker on expired British passport and also given separate book.
3. Works in USA
4. Recently became US citizen

He's planning to visit Inida in summer so was confused what to do and best for future travels.

OCI sticker is no longer needed to travel to India. Just a valid passport and the OCI booklet should suffice. The 'U' sticker has been deemed unnecessary by the govt. of India a couple of years ago.
