How to get medicare in India After R2I

Hi

I am on 61 years of age now. I am very much worried about medical in India after R2I . In US we have medicare and social security benefit. After return to India , I don't know how to get medical.
The same medicare in US is applicable in India.
If any body gives ideas or share his thoughts about this, I will be greatly appreciate.

you cannot get any medicare benefits if you move to india.

As far as I know, you can get madicare only in USA. They do not cover your in foreign countries..

You said you are 61years of age. The medicare starts at 65. Unfortunately the medicare do not cover out side of US. How ever you can look for some private insurance companies in India which will give you some kind of protection, but you have to take a policy and it will cost you money. The best option is to set aside about 5 to 10 lack rupees for emergency purpose for which open an FD account and leave the money to grow and use it in emergencies like major medicals etc. For regular doctors visits and all that, India is not that expensive when compared to US.
