Just needed some feedback from r2i ladies. Has anyone quit their job after r2iing ? I have been working in IT for almost 10 yrs and plan to quit once I go back. We are going back in 2 months. I have 2 kids to keep me busy but its scary to be honest. The upcoming move has me stressed.

How do you ladies spend your time ? I understand the life is super busy with 2 small kids but is anyone doing anything fun ? maybe learning something new, a class, a hobby, yoga. I have so many things that I haven't done in the last 10 yrs due to lack of time (I know its an excuse...but whatever). Hopefully I can do some of those small things once I go back.

just wanted to see what the women are upto after r2i ? Ofcourse how the r2i experiance has been.

Hi,
I moved in Sep,2008 to India from US. I have a kid who is 12 years old. I started working from the fourth day of my move to India. I worked in IT in US. I joined in an IT Company (not an MNC) four year old company in India. Salary is pretty decent. Not lot of stress in work. Work from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. everday. After going home, I will never touch my computer. I can help my child in her studies. Saturday and Sunday is off. I can spend some time with her.

My point of view on this is unless you try something how can you determine/ conclude what is better for you. Yes, we talk to family and friends, share their experiences but I personally would never be able to make a decision solely based on how and what others did. It does provide us pointers and what we think may or may not work but unless I try it myself, I would never be certain. Everyone has their strenghts and weaknesses, some people are good at multitasking, some have better luck with their work environment, support from family, so it is hard to conclude that what worked for others will also work for you.

If I were you, I would atleast try it out for sometime before deciding that working in not an option. But if you have already made up your mind that you do not want a life of a working mom in India and deal with the hassles, it is a different story.

Hi!

I could have written this post to the entirety.

How do you feel now - 2 years after R2i and being a SAHM?
Has anything changed now?

lucky to have found this thread. This is exactly what is going inside my heart.

Returned to Noida last month. Hubby has quit his job is turned an enterprenuer after completing his MBA this year.
I have reluctantly taken up a job to maintain the cash flow. I hate coming to work. I reach home by 8-9 in the evening after almost 11-12 hours away from home. Feel bad for my daughter when she has lots to tell me but I have to put her to sleep by 10.
