Alternate shipping for 1700$?

Friends,
One member posted his experience with a title called "Alternate Shipping" which costed him something around 1700 from US to India. But some reason that post was deleted..
For people who live in Port cities, that is a better option rather than going through the standard shippers who are anyway the middlemen.
Anyone remember seeing it or why was it removed?
