Why so many apartments being built in Mumbai?

If there is already such an oversupply and many being built and coming online, they just seem to keep building more. Did developers just overestimate demand? Some places rent has dropped up to 30%, and prices have dropped as well, which is a good thing IMO but very surprising especially when Delhi & Bangalore's prices are around double or more.

The main reason of so many apartments being build in Mumbai is, there are all type of Incomes receivers in Mumbai. Right from 100/- per day to thousands of rupees per day. And everyone wants a good home with good amenities in-house & around it.
