It will be parked at the BEST bus stop at the airport.
Sceduled departure to Pune is 5am
For now it will come to Pune via Dadar. Direct once demand increases.

No charge for luggage upto 15 kg for adult and 7kg for kid
Arrives Pune Railway Sation at 8:45am
Halts at Aundh, Parihar Chowk, University Circle, Shivajinagar ST stand, and finally at Pune Railway Station

No return Pune Mumbai service as yet.
Pls pass info on to your friends. I think this should be a safe mode of transport (run by the govt)at a very reasonable price.(Rs.2500 for personal car otherwise)

Infoman, as always, thanks for sharing. You are very resourceful and Pune R2Iers appreciate your input and help.
The only thing that one would not get from this service is door to door service. Getting home from these drop off points with two bags and two kids is no easy task. Of course, if one is traveling alone with one bag, this is a great service to have.

I dont see how this is a good deal if going with family. total time door to door will be 3h 45 m + 45 min from pune stn to home (avg). plus the hassles of fitting all the luggage in 2-3 ricks/taxis. whereas with a car you can go door to door in 2 h 45m w/o speeding. all this hassle just to save perhaps rs. 1200 ($30)? when one spends lakhs of rupees on india tkts, why scrimp for the last 200 km to pune? heck, even if I was going alone i'd still rent the car.

If I'm by myself I'll prefer the Volvo. Its more comfortable then the deadbeat tata indicas while have outlived their lifetimes many times over.

Good service (of course proof pf it will come when we travel on it)....but I have been wondering why this was not there considering so many professionals travelling so frequently from Pune to International destinations from Mumbai airport.

Why dont they start the reverse i.e Pune to Sahar? Quite a few would have a taxi drop them to the pickup spot and ride the Volvo to reach the Mumbai international airport to catch an international flight.

This is good service but doesn't cater to the needs of people traveling from abroad. Like some said with 55 lbs suitcases and kids..... I know what it feels like... did that for very may 18 years. There is a service by a local travel company KK Travel phone no 020 24225510. They start from the Mumbai Int aiport at around 3:30 AM and reach pune 7:30 AM. And good thing is they drop you at the door step. They also pick you at home (Pune) and take to Mumbai Intl airport. The service is promt and good. They take care of the lugguage. They charge Rs 550 per person. Hope this helps. Check it out.

I had used KK travels for me & my wife + Kid during travel (we travelled on different days), This was very reliable only thing is keep couple of hours more as they pick up people, and Mumbai traffic is also very bad.
