From the venues, the food courts will always be available. GIP can be crowded but Spice Mall has a lot of space. My house is convenient for not very large gatherings. We can perhaps start with my house as the venue and then change to the spice mall if the gathering becomes very large.
The date and time is still an unknown.
pm071 is apprehensive about traffic conditions due to the games. She has still to become a true Delhiwala. It really depends on where one lives. From South Delhi, it should not present a big problem, but I really do not know. I do avoid going to Delhi even in normal times.
My house is just a mile from Metro and I would be willing to ferry people to and from the Metro station.
So far people willing to meet are:-
pm071

I am relocating to Delhi on 17th of Jan. I will be reaching India on 8th of jan. My work place is going to be OKHLA Industrial Phase III. I am new to Delhi and have never been there. Some of the places suggested were Sarita Vihar, kalakaji extensions, Saket. DBS ji suggested Noida. I am more inclined towards Noida as it is more planned and coming from US for first year or so want to get used to the area. Also heard there are lot of R2I's to Noida. I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment (upto 600 sq ft) In Noida especially near the Metro Station. I heard OKHLA industrial has a stop.
I have following question and need help from the experts in the area
1) What sector Shall I look into?
2) Are there any realtors that you guys know whom I can get in touch with once I am there?
3) Where is ATS Green project and also Eldeco?
Eventually I may buy a car and drive to the office.
if someone can pass me on their email address that will be great my email ID is

True Noida has a metro but the connection to Okhla at present is a long one thru Cannaught Place, etc. After a couple of years, there may be a direct connection but at present it may take an hour. Once you get a car, it should be a breeze 90% of the time.
Walking distance to Metro in Noida is sectors 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 27, 28,29, 37, 44, 36, 39, parts of 50. From most other sectors you would need a feeder service. Cycle rickshaws are in plenty but would add to cost and time.
ATS green is a lovely place and people there claim to be very happy; but own transport is necessary as Metro is still about 6 km away. Later, it may get a Metro service.
There are a number of R2Iers in Noida, but we have never met. No one wants to come to my house.

How long a minute is, depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on.
