Hi there,
I am moving to Chennai from Seattle in May 08. How about using this thread to exchange some ideas for all those who are doing the same, since we'll have a common destination (literally) . I'm sure it would help to have your input.
For those who already moved from Seattle to Chennai...your thoughts, ideas are most welcome.

I have seen so many ppl talk about moving to india and settling there in good jobs
But when asked in the forum about jobs,networking people to find jobs ,people are following the typical desi mentality of not disclosing about jobs,passing job opportunities to others in the forum

Congratulations & best wishes on your upcoming move.
My wife & I have similar plans to move...(From SEA to Chennai) but ours is most likely going to be next year. Originally we had planned to move in May'08 as well. However an offer from my management that lets me work out of India for next 4-5 months comes in as a good trade off.

Which are the high paying s/w companies in Chennai? It seems like all paymasters are in Bangalore/Hyderabad only. Only Amazon seems to be the big paying one in Chennai, and they wouldn't hire me.
