Please suggest best shopping place in Bangalore

hello Guys

So far i am receiving very useful info from this forum. Please advise me some nice shopping places in Bangalore. I am soon leaving from US to Bangalore for a business trip.

I like Forum ...its in koramangla. CMH road is also good.
If you want to buy branded yet cheap stuff...marathalli got few options too.

You will find lotsa stuff over there. Do try Sambhar n idly....its my fav

Those near Koramangla may want to visit the new (some areas still under construction) one stop shop - The Total Mall

The quality of furniture, clothing, etc. leaves a lot to desire, but the grocery store, the food court, the Indian deli style food counters, liqour store, McDonalds, the open coffee and sandwhich places etc. makes up for the slightly tacky appearance.

BTW, they have brand name stores also for clothes and accessories.

Thay have a forest themed restaurant (similar to the Elephant Bar and Restaurant in CA) and a subway themed restaurant under construction on the 3rd floor. I expect it to be worth a visit.

The garuda mall near richmond road is amazing. There are several restaurants, a great cinema hall and great shops.

The place is more central and I think a minimum fare if you take an auto from M.G road. If you are taking your car they have alot of parking space too.

don't know if your trip is over. but don't forget commercial street. it has all varieties of shops... branded/unbranded. It is in central bangalore near cubbon road.

* For expensive, art-sy gifts (sandalwood products, silk scarves/ties, etc), try Cauvery Arts Emporium at MG Road/Brigade Road intersection.
*A few steps away is the public utility building, where some shops used to sell paintings (water color on cloth?).
*Such shops also existed in the Unity buildings (near Bangalore City Corporation/Townhall area).
*Mysore silk sarees from the several KSIC outlets.
