Perhaps there is a typo. If it is Nagara Kendra granthalaya (city central library) then they used to have a good collection of books.

Just Books is good, for Corporates there is Kwench- fellow IIMA alums started it, and my wife's company subscribes to them. Then there are startups that aggregate books and distribute them. Forgot the specific name(s)- will find out and let you know. CitY Central Libraries used to be good. I used them extensively during my school days, not sure what is the status now.

We use just books. Good selection and the ability to order online and have it delivered at home

This thread rekindled some good old memories. We used to hangout a lot at the CCL (City Central Library) in Jayanagar near elephant rock, South end Circle. Very good library with a ton of children's books (Hardy Boys, TinTin Asterix etc etc). We had three cards (for one time fee of Rs.25 and no other fee) that allowed you to borrow 3 books at a time. We did poora paisa vasool :)

This library was two levels (Ground and First floor) and also had large collection of Kannada novels.
