We would like to get some reviews about the Orchids International School in Jubilee Hills.
We would like to enroll our son in the 1st standard class.
I have heard that it doesn't have a playground or the play area for kids.
How are other facilities and the quality of teachers?

Hi,
I am wondering why there have been no response to this thread since May 2010. Does that mean Orchids is a very unpopular school. I am an NRI returning back to India and was interested in joining my daughter in 6th grade in Orchids. If you are an Orchid parent or a friend can you please give me some reviews.
Thanks.

Since you are pushing and no one else has answered, I'll give you something just only better than nothing. Yes, it doesnt have play ground, just had a small basketball net that too is now used for car showroom. It is just 2 big building. But probably being modern is a cozy A/C one. It is high end school meant for softer people (I guess most of us are), will probably have clean bathrooms, and well painted inside & outside. A mini Intl school.
If you are interested in this, why dont you consider Oakridge itself. It might have the same features, but bigger and will have play ground etc.
Sorry, I couldnt give you much inside info as I am in the other end of the spectrum (want my kids to go to harder schools like BVB, Geetanjali types, and slog ace in Indian competetive exams types). I know a few people who used to go to Orchids, and were happy, but I dont have contacts now.

You can do "Search Forum" at Hyderabad Forum level and then see past feedback.
As part of results, if you get a big thread, then go to that thread, do "Search Thread" with orchids key word.

Thanks
srinpo. I am not considering Oakridge due to 2 reasons. 1) It is farther to my place than Orchids and I don;t want my kids to be on the road for a long time travelling to school and 2) Due to a very high fee structure.
Looks like Orchids moved to a new building and has a playground now. The only down side is for swimming they travel to the Gachibowli facilty as they don;t have one.
How is Orchids Academics wise in older classes?
Suny, I already did the search and could find only this thread. That is the reason why I posted the question. Thanks anyway.
