Please check out this page on Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VisakhapatnamI never went to any of the schools there, though I did my undergrad from the state engg college there, but have heard from many of my friends that most CBSE schools there are good.

The Jain International School, Hyderabad is a part of the prestigious Jain Group of Institutions (
www.jgi.ac.in) based at Bangalore.
The school was established a couple of years ago in hyderabad and now boasts of various achievements in such a short span. The focus of the school is purely on the overall development with an impetus on character building activities. WIth a maximum class strength of 25 students and the staff student ratio of 1:10 the school is totally burden free, with no home work and no books & bags to be carried back to homes by the kids.
Offering the CBSE curriculum, the school at present caters from Pre-nursery to Class X at present. An international pre school for the tiny tots has been started at the Jubillee Hills area of Hyderabad and caters to children between the age groups of 2 to 6 years.
For specific information on weekly boarding and residential facility, one can email us at

20+ years back the standard answer would have been St.Aloysuis, Timpany, KV Malkapuram and Visakha Valley.
But now since a lot of "International" schools have come up, these might have fallen out of favour.
