Hello All,

I wanted to know if Indus world School and Indus International Schools are same school and world/international is just a typo or there are actually 2 diff. schools in Hyderabad.

I know one is located near Sainikpuri, Hyderabad and know that it has good facilities for extra curricular activities.I did get a good impression of the school and I do agree with people's view in this post. I want to know more from parents who have stayed long time with these schools
I wanted to know more about fee structure/Board affiliation/management/Admission Fee(Refundable/NonRefundable)/Extra Curricular activity offered at these(if there are two) schools.
Any input is highly appreciated.

SKM17;216362Can you share any feedback, good or bad, direct or indirect experience about Indus World School, Hyderabad? Will help in making one of the most important decisions for my child.

I admitted my daughter in class XI [Xth from another school] this year after I was promised that they have enough number of kids in the XIth class. The school told me that they already have at least 30 enrolled students and some more will join from class Xth. Turned out that they had only 16 students and 10 of which came from Xth grade from Indus itself. The people at the front desk and vice-principal were all very nice when I spoke to them before I committed my daughter to the school and paid 40K [25k in cash and 15k by cheque].
We were told to deposit the first term fee [approx 45K] before the start fo the term which we did. A total of about 95K paid before she started attending the school.
At the end of the 1st day, she came back and told me that she does not want to go back to the school again and I am sure she encountered the similar bullying by other students at the school. Though she would not tell me the reason, but it is not very hard to figure out that something similar [as mentioned by Dr Sreenivas] might have happened. When I brought it up to the management, i was told that this kind oof bullying might exist at the school but it is not a major problem.
I did not want to take any chances so I withdrew my kid immediately the next day. I sent in the withdrawl request the next day.
A month later [on July 21st, 2012] the school refunded me 15K as refundable money, 4.2k for food money and nothing else. 80K down the drain for attending 2 days of school and getting bullied by the other kids. One great school.!
I sincerely advise everyone to think ten times before throwing your kid to the gangs at the school.

My son is going to this school from 2.5yrs. I do not have many complaints on their education system, as I believe in it. But bullying is a big problem and despite repeated complaints, nothing really improved. In a severe bullying scenario(in the bus), I got hold of the kid and warned him, and then only situation improved. School authorities could not bring any change, though they warned the bullying kid several times.

One more issue, in my case is, my son is still not eating well and on top of it, he gets sick, if he eats in school, even after 2.5yrs. He put on only 2kgs in 2.5yrs and that's very concerning to me. As I have an alternative now, I want to change him. I want my son to eat home food only, which is not possible in Indus World.

But I have seen many of my friends kids in this school, they adjusted well, eating well, growing well. Its very different for each one of us. Sorry, for not giving much info. Feeling lazy. Just wanted to add little bit. Give me a PM, if you need to know more info on any particular thing in this school.
