Tax on shipping Car to India

Hi,
I am sure this topic must have been discussed somewhere but could not find it after a search. Please help.

I have a 2002 Honda CRV in excellent condition. I will get no more than 6K for it if I sell it. How much tax am I looking at if I ship it? Thanks ain advance.

You have to pay 110% tax to customs based on the current value that they decide.They are not allowing import of left hand driven vehicles unless it is converted to RHD.Just add around $5000 as shipping cost.

You will be better off purchasing a gently used 2007 model CRV for about 10-11 lakhs in india itself.
