[/quote]If Karna was so madly in love, why didn't he stop Dushasana from stripping Draupadi off? I think this whole love story was made by a person who wanted to add some masala to it.
Bear in mind that Draupadi was married to 5 guys and the only thing she might have wanted was a break from all of this. :)

NTR showed it in DVS karna about Draupadi in love with Karna and I thought it was ridiculous.....to say the least. Had plans to read POI, but having my doubts now..;)

You are thinking logically here. Now, Krishna being who he is, could have intervened at the time of Swayamvara and told the world that Karna was not a charioteer's son, but a demigod (someone above Kshatriya). Why didn't he? :) Instead, he played along with a lie.

It is said that Karna was bound by promises. How do we know that marrying 5 guys is not masala to begin with? We believed what someone wrote many moons ago.

There are so many levels of inconsistencies in the story. I guess, Karna got the bad end of the stick in this whole deal.
