Dovahkiin Sir ,
Interesting vision. Liked it. Dr. Kaku explains here the three nos of civilization and we are looking for class 3, as we ourselves are class 0. :P
You need to watch this one hour of super-duper video from Dr Kaku ( second link, below ) the same guy,... vdo is very interesting of ours most recent inventions and achievement,..

Many says about Kaku that, I fancied him as a physicist but looks like he is trying to become a script writer for hollywood. It happens with many men of science, in youth they dream a lot and after decades they realize most of them won't be coming true. In the end they do senile talk, like this so called categories of civilization, I can't believe what he was saying, even he knew he's lying but still he gave that cock and bull story, I wonder was that to please illiterate masses or justifying wrongdoings of profiteers.
Let me put some facts my way. Every discovery of new planets and planetary system so far has proven only one thing, we are the odd one. Saying we found a planets in habitable zone ( certain distance from it's star) so that's twin Earth, is like taking any mammal for humans ( Probably that to is smaller comparison).
Humans will never be able to journeys beyond their own solar system. Distances are too great, Energy requirement can't be fulfilled further you are from sun. Sending a voyager into space is one thing and sending spaceship with humans is another. It will require hell lot of more energy to constantly maintain life sustaining environment in the ship for humans. Pluto the largest object in kaplar belt is only 0.0006 light year away from sun, and it took voyager 3 decades to reach there, and at that point solar energy were so weak that they had to shut down some systems of voyager. Leave aside much larger energy requirement of human ship. Just for point of discussion, you go beyond Kaplar belt in to the area with just dust and gases or waste material which were not used in building of our solar system. now what ? Energy from your sun has disappeared, next nearest star is 2 light years away, You took 3 decades to reach 0.0006 light years away from sun and you are out of energy. Next star is 2 light years away, you are out of energy, into hostile environment.
Only way to travel to distant galaxies MIGHT be wormholes but again we don't know ABC of them. They are created around us all the time but are too microscopic. We are not even sure what they connects, hoping that someday we will be able to create wormhole at will, large enough to let humans pass to desirable place in universe is NOTHING BUT SCIENCE FICTION.
My advice, don't run behind science fiction, salvage what you have. You are not going to get another earth like planet to destroy. Earth is your only home, even if you don't like it. Don't let profiteers fool you and irrationally consume earth's resources, if we humans see next century, most likely we will be living in much worse condition than today, thanks to these profiteers.
As far as alien life is concerned anything beyond unicellular organism would be a great discovery, anything visible with named eye would be Very Great discovery.
Big bang 13 Billion years ago, Earth formation 3.5 Billion years ago.
Do you understand what was big bang ? I hope you understand it upto some extend. Let me clarify simplest I can. There was something Billionth times smaller than an atom at infinite energy and mass. A pure speck of energy, in fact we can't be sure what it was. It exploded ( Big bang)and expanded, It expanded more in first second than following 13 Billion years. All forces, Rules of physics and time itself came into existence, after big bang. Everything generated was in perfect balanced, if gravity were any less, it would have not existed, if gravity were any more it would have collapsed immediately, matter and antimatter came into right amount i.e. for every 1 million antimatter, there were 1 million and 1 matter. so million anti matter neutralized million matter, and remaining 1 matter created everything visible in the universe. Before asks what if antimatter were more ? than we would have everything visible made up of antimatter but we would be calling them by opposite names.
Now saying that another big bang might have occurred some space apart is CHILDISH at best. Everywhere you see came into existence after big bang. Space, time, dimensions everything. I don't argue it's not possible ( Parallel universes) but when are talking about space, lets talk about space, don't confuse it with quantum physics. I know a lot about both, But that's irrelevant here.
here we are talking about lies told by Dr. Kaku, and at-least me and he know that was complete gibberish he talked about. Period. Just a little question, are you in 2015 right now or by some Yoga, Sadhna you are actually typing this from 1950's ? Because it's established by 2015 that initially there were nine planet in solar system, two planets were roaming where earth is roaming today ( Circling the sun) both were going in same direction but other planet hit earth, ninth planet destroying in process and earth barely survived. Debris from destroyed planet and debris from earth itself started circling earth, eventually due to static electricity and gravity this debris joined to make what we call moon today. Up to this is universally accepted in 2015. Now this is not sure but many scientists claims initially two different moons were formed which later may be due to collision adjoined to form single larger moon.
Now are you interested in talking astronomy or mythology and your wild fantasies.
check out this page. It has presented some good information in interesting way for people who doesn't know much about universe. I just checked it and it's correct information as far as my knowledge is concerned.

sorry 21st picture has a mistake I didn't read it correctly, that's IC 1101 galaxy, not IC 1011. small square in 24th picture is shown bigger in 22nd picture. Actually scientists took a very small apparently totally dark spot in night sky ( it was like 1/4th of space what full moon takes in our night sky) and concentrated Hubble at that, let it takes all the light coming for that region for months and result is 22nd and 24th picture where each dot represents a galaxy not a star. debris dust/rocks doesn't behave as you want in space, they follow a certain principal. Small dust particles sticks together due to static electricity to form rocks. Now these rocks collide together to form larger rocks, they get bigger and bigger until their diameter reach to 500 miles in any direction after which gravity takes effect making them roundish. That's why all bigger object are roundish and smaller objects come in all shapes and sizes ( Obviously smaller than 500 miles )
There are 100,000,000,000 galaxies in the observable universe. The number of habitable planets in each galaxy is 10,000,000,000. So the total number of habitable planets in our universe is 100,000,000,000,0000,000,000.
And you think only earth has a chance of life? Only readers can be so stoofid . Our sun is one of 100 billion stars in our galaxy. Our galaxy is one of billions of galaxies populating the universe. It would be the height of presumption to think that we are the only living things in that enormous immensity.
Wernher von Braun
If it is just us, seems like an awful waste of space.
Contact.
The thing to keep in mind is that we're still in the very early days when it comes to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Saying there's a silence is a bit like if Columbus, looking to discover a new continent, only sailed 10 miles off the coast of Spain before turning back to say, 'Nothing out there!'
Seth Shostak. I am an open minded individual and realized vastness of universe very early in life as I was always fascinated by stars and science fiction. I believe universe is far too vast to declare anything conclusively but there are far more chance of having habitable planets other from our own, than being alone. Microscopic life is present at multiple places in our solar system alone. Some places might harbor macroscopic life as well i.e. Europa.
But on the other hand out of more than 4000 exoplanets discovered yet, not a single one is habitable ( At least for us).
