In the recent past there is a huge debate on Hindu terror or Saffron terror. The latest news is Wikileaks exposing Rahul Gandhi's comments with US ambassador. Here is a snippet from timesofindia
"The August 3, 2009 cable records Roemer's observations from a "candid conversation" he had with Rahul Gandhi at a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for visiting Secretary of State Hillary Clinton two weeks earlier. Roemer reports Gandhi as saying, in response to his query about Lashkar-e-Taiba's activities in the region and immediate threat to India, that there was evidence of some support for the group among certain elements in India's indigenous Muslim community. However, the risk of a "home-grown" extremist front, reacting to terror attacks coming from Pakistan or from Islamist groups in India, was a growing concern and one that demanded constant attention. "
I would like to start this discussion to understand from members on what they feel about Hindu Terror or Saffron Terror if at all it exists.
Is this something the congress party has created for political gains and minority appeasement?.

How can the rest of the world help us in our fight against terror when the "Gandhi" heir apparent feels so strongly about "so called" Hindu terror as the larger problem then LeT or others. In years of terrorist attack and so many deaths, even if a few people snapped and wrongly, I feel it is more an act of vandalism or personal vendetta rather then "Hindu terror".
WikiLeaks has also highlighted how the USA has made a mockery of our war strategies and how we didn't even implement them even after such a major instigation like the Mumbai attacks. Time and again the intensity of the attacks are increasing and Pakistan is convinced that our government is not capable to retaliate. Even the world is convinced that we are a soft state.
After what Powell had to do in UN, he regretted it for the rest of his life. Similarly there might have been immense pressure on Chidambaram to coin the "saffron terror" phrase.
Here is my question: IF a POW or a spy is captured and classified under "act of war", would they be sent to a military tribunal for quick sentencing without the media fanfare or should the sections of IPC be followed, that is meant for civilians. Why are we making a media fanfare out of Afzal and Kasab's case and allowing them every benefit in our antiquated legal system ? Should they have been tried in military courts/tribunals ?
I think we need a third nationwide political party. Congress has become the party of minority appeasement. BJP has been pushed into the non-secular bracket with the Hindutva agenda. Of course both are big on the scam agenda.

I feel that it should be a concern and should warrant attention.

Are you asking if Congress created Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, and RSS?

Oh yes.
We should all be definitely scared and take quick action.
Concentrate on this. LeT can be taken care of by america assisted by pakistan.
All sari clad women should be patted down and all turbans be unfolded where ever encountered.

So the weakened "puppet" fails to prevent terrorism. Again.

I have seen many times this disinformation campaign of Layman, but ignored most of them. If Layman is truly honest in learning about the turbulence & violence in India since independence times, he should do a bit of research into each of these major riots.
tejasvee;137957I rest my case. If anyone is intellectually honest, he/she will keep the facts in mind before indulging in propaganda.
KirKS;375622 More than that the same establishmens & their fans lacked basic minimum honesty to call Sonia Gandhi's government's fraudulent attempt to call this an 'accident' via a cover-up mission headed by a Justice (sic) UC Banerjee.
I seem to read a lot about "honesty" (and "facts")as can be seen in some of the quotes by members above.
So, here below are some honest facts. I wonder if silence in condemning these terror acts is the so called intellectual honesty bandied about.
http://www.indianexpress.com/news/aseemanand-confessed-role-in-samjhauta-blast/734614/ http://www.tehelka.com/story_main48.asp?filename=Ne150111Coverstory.asp [QUOTE]
Swami Aseemanand’s chilling confession is the first legal evidence of RSS pracharaks’ involvement in the Samjhauta Express and 2006 Malegaon blasts. ASHISH KHETAN scoops the 42-page document that reveals a frightening story of hate and deliberate mayhemKirKS;3729333. How many Modi bashing folks had the honesty to accept that 5 of the final 94 in Godhra court were having links to Congress party? (Convicted & acquitted, combined) How many even bothered to search around for more info that leads to an ad some of these guys had given in a Gujarati newspaper in Jan 2002, thanking Congress party for helping them get elected?
4. How many screaming 'Hindu fascists', 'BJP-RSS', 'genocide', 'state sponsored', 'hitler' etc has the minimum decency to accept
Should I ask if there is this so stated "minimum decency" to accept RSS links?
" Aseemanand spilled the beans on RSS leader Indresh Kumar’s alleged connections with terror acts. " Let me suggest that just because a perpetrator / criminal supports some party does not make the party guilty, unless the evidence exists against the party top brass.
To think that RSS supporter Modi had nothing to do with "teaching a lesson to hum paanch hamare pachees" is being not "honest" with self. And Modi is the top brass.
We can deny all we want, but the fact of the matter is that Hindu terror does also exist. And we as sane human beings, should speak against all such dastardly acts whether by Muslims (Islamic terror) or by Hindus. And not prop up and support bigoted politicians.
