Opinions/Lectures/Sermons: Speeches by Jega - For Beginners to HinduismHere are the less "involved" introductions to Vedas and Hinduism in common man's words. Series of speeches by Jega, a Malaysian Hindu. Good talker/sermonizer on Vedas considering that he doesn't know Sanskrit and also was an agnostic/atheist till the age of 32.

Why Spiritual Knowledge Is Kept Secret (qualification related discourse)From the works of Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Here Nithyananda explains that spiritual knowledge is not for everyone. It can be harmful to a person who receives it if he is not spiritually mature. If you tell a criminal that he is God, he will misuse this knowledge to justify his immoral actions. Krishna declares that He is God. This is a secret because it cannot be delivered to a person who is not yet mature. God cannot be given as instant coffee. You can't just have God instantly. A maturation process is necessary. Actually the more you hurry this process, the greater the delay. The very hurrying will postpone the experience. It will not let you relax. This clip is taken from the discourse titled "Secret of Secrets"- Bhagavad Gita 9 which can be ordered at

The great cultural wealth of this knowledge is highly relevant in the modern world. Techniques used to show this agreement include: - Marine Archaeology of underwater sites (such as Dvaraka) - Satellite imagery of the Indus-Sarasvata River system - Carbon and Thermoluminiscence Dating of archaeological artifacts - Scientific Verification of Scriptural statements - Linguistic analysis of scripts found on archaeological artifacts - A Study of cultural continuity in all these categories.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7678538942425297587 Sanskrit Tradition in 'Thinking Allowed'Prof. Dean Brown points out that most European languages can be traced back to a root language that is also related to Sanskrit - the sacred language of the ancient Vedic religions of India. Many English words actually have Sanskrit origins. Similarly, many Vedic religious concepts can also be found in Western culture. He discusses the fundamental idea of the Upanishads - that the essence of each individual, the atman, is identical to the whole universe, the principle of brahman. In this sense, the polytheistic traditions of India can be said to be monistic at their very core.

gist of Hinduism by quoting a sloka from "Baghavad Gita". In fact that also explains the concept of Universal acceptance of all religion.
From an audio release, about the Life and Works of Swami Vivekananda. Though it is not the actual voice of Vivekananda, we can feel the power of his thoughts on Hinduism, and his respect for other religions.
This is the the original voice of Swami Vivekananda in 1893!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxUzKoIt5aM Why we Disagree?Vivekananda highlights the ignorance of those, who claim their religion as the BEST. It should always be 'ONE OF THE BEST' instead.
The one who finds fault with other religion, is ignorant of not only that religion, but his own. Because there are sufficient proofs in all religions from which people have reached the zenith in all fields, whether it is spirituality or social life or any field for that matter.
If there are any issues it should be with the people who follow it with misconceptions and not with the religion itself.
So my friends, stop abusing other religions, and try to follow your religion with faith, no matter whether it is your original or converted religion.

Incredible IndiaClearly, Sa-Ni-Dha-Pa-Pa (the divine seven musical notes) speaks of music, melody or harmony of life.
"Athithi d? bhava" is a part of Taittiriya (deals with 'from food to joy') Upanishad "M?u d? bhava, Pitru d? bhava, ãh?a d? bhava, Athithi d? bhava". Means Mother, Father, Guru/Teacher and Guests (athithi) are divine, should be revered as God.
