okonomi;418190Yes; please... I thought these posts are very useful to learn about what is going on in the desi political scene.
When people are reconciled to having the (comparative) best as their political leaders, it is good to know who is less corrupt.
Interested in learning more? Here I go with the first installment.
I have been searching for one Chief Minister in India, who doesn't have a major corruption blot via serious, well documented allegations or court cases/FIRs. Modi seems to be the one with least corruption allegation.
Rest are all down the drain.. Here's a sample of current and ex-CMs. I have provided one news link for each case, so that you can read further to learn on the accusations.

Its very hard to find a single sitting or ex-CM in India who doesn't have a major corruption scam ink on his/her bio.
In Karnataka, it makes more news like in Yeddyurappa case & sees more action, mainly because the state has India's
best Lokayukta police and court system. I don't know of any other state where a Lokayukta system is strong enough to send an ex-CM to prison. Most states don't even have a Lokayukta today, and even if they have, an ordinary minister, like in Delhi, pooh-poohs a Lokayukta.
Doesn't mean corruption is any less in Karnataka, but the system has higher bar, compared to rest of India, mainly due to that strong Lokayukta system. When regular court system and a parallel court sytem both hunt for the corrupt, logically more would get revealed.
