Anytime talk about moving to Kerala comes up, people tend to scare you with stories about all these ( whats the right word.. ) maladies.

Is it really that bad a situation ? Sumachechi and others that are in Kerala, can you comment please ?

If you are thinking along this line then consider Dengue before even start thinking about Chikungunya.
Later Malaria and cholera. We can safely put Chikungunya after this list.
Also this list can be applied against most states of India

You cannot help but consider this more so when you move with children.
