What's the price of a beer, large whiskey, and are there strip clubs? How bad is the whole China police state thing? Can cops be bribed for things like speeding and assault?

since the 1997 british rule Hong kong ends, is on its own for the next 50 years, horse racing and dancing never ceased.
Obviously liquor and wine keep flowing, so does all the vice. Enjoy your stay in HK, do not worry about the communists
unless you import drugs and involve in bank robbery then the trouble start. Forget about driving in HK, its narrow streets
and unfamiliar roads.
