Looking at today's fall in China and NYSE do you guys think BSE will go down to tomorrow?
Will this trend continue?

This morning when you saw the chinese market drop - did you get out of MINDX at today's close?

I am not concerned by this drop as I am a student of Indexing that too with a mix of Stocks, Bonds, REIT's, International funds which will do well in long term. Temporary setbacks doesn't affect my portfolio as I am seeking a long-term return for my long-term goals.

Thanks Desi for your accolades. It's because of people like you, I have gained tremendous knowledge about investing. The best thing I could learn from this forum is Indexing, Diversification, AAP, Long-term view and above all a member who quoted as "Individual Stocks could be in your portfolio (5%) only if you could able to lose 100% and sleep fully"

When the market falls, it hurts, especially those like me who have lot in diversified equity, as opposed to bonds/cash. Yet, it would be naive to expect equity runs to be smooth, and today's fall is a sobering reminder. As long as one has a long term outlook and is well diversified, one can still smile and sleep well.

From technicals point of view, as per some analysts (any body listens to Gary Kaulpaum ?), looks like market topped today in US. How about Bob Brinker ? Did he give a call today ?

Two things stand out:
1. The equity markets are down worldwide from Tokyo,Shanghai,Newzeland to EU, NY and Mumbai.
2. Alan Greenspan's comments....I think I still value his comments more than Bernanke's.

If a recession is coming and there is a downside maybe someone(like me) who was just starting to DCA yet can wait for a few weeks....

Im a bob brinker subscriber but I heard nothing from him. So much for market timing. I think his portfolios are diversified except for one so most of his subscribers wouldnt be losing their shirts. I think emerging marekts are going to see massive liquidation and I hope the govts intervene like the thai govt did. else ppl are going to panic and cause chaos
