index funds in Indian stock market

One can create a good prtfolio just based on these:
4. Benchmark S&P CNX 500 G
tracks S&P CNX 500 ( 500 of 506 stocks )
most diversified equity index fund
Launched Dec 2008.
YTD: 74%
ER 1.5 :(
Unfortunately, this is the only fund of its kind in the market (that I could find)
1.5% ER isnt too bad at all..even funds in my ex-employer's good-for-nothing 401(k) plan had bigger ERs and ZERO index funds..quite pleasantly suprised to see such low ERs in Indian MFs..
