I have a ceramic flat iron by conair (infinity brand). I used it in USA and use it here in India as well. I have a convertor that I need to plug in the electrical socket for the flat iron use. Flat iron use in USA was almost daily for me but here in India its once a month or restricted to some functions. Too much humidity and dust in the air and the hair doesn't stay put as it is to be in US. The flat iron is working fine for me in India and I have been using the same since 2007.

XOXO, is the convertor that you use for your conair infinity simply something that lets the US electrical plug fit into the Indian socket? Or is it a more complicated thing that also does voltage conversion from 240 to 110 volts?
thanks!
