Recommendation for a TV that works in US and India

Friends,
I'm planning to return to India in another year or two from now.
In the meantime, I'd like to buy a TV for around $1500 here now. I'd like to be able to use this TV after I move to India.
Shall appreciate your suggestions for a TV that'd work, without any additional equipment, in both places for my budget.
