Looks like the Indian players are not very happy about the current fee system that is linked to team wins.

But they will get around that by making sure to play as many matches in India as opposed to touring abroad. They will also make sure to keep playing with the weaker teams as much as possible. Not that they care much about what the board pays them but they want to keep their "hero image" intact among the fans by winning against weak teams or playing on home grounds. If there is a difficult tour comes up abroad, the "stars" will feign illness by opting out by producing their own "personal doctor" certificates. They can have their cake and eat it too..

Check this out (hyperlink below)...

TV Channel's sting 'reveals' divided Indian team...

Personally, I think there is some meat to the allegations in the article although the board (BCCI) will rubbish it. The scared captain has already done as much. Things are getting hopeless by the day.

As a wise saying goes...it's a catch-22 situation. The selectors cannot drop all the big guys and the big guys will always carry heap loads of ego - they will never get along well. So much for Indian Cricket.

Frankly, the Indian cricket story is getting a bit old. All hype and no performance. No sting operations are needed to tell that a lot of things are wrong with it.

Dravid was implementing Chappel's "processes" and IMO the team members didn't like Dravid rubber-stamping every Chappel move/process. Hence the clash of the team members against Dravid. I like Dravid as a player, but not as captain.

Many other captains from the losing teams resigned and I think Dravid too should have resigned.

I dont know what happened to Dravid, the great player. We had lost him after he took the captaincy - we saw only glimpses of him when India won the test series against WI. Not much after that. I agree, he failed as a captain and should have owned responsibility and quit after WC. Thats the only way we can see him as his former self again. Having said that, if Dravid' exit as captain means the entry of other two seniors - Sachin & Ganguly - as contenders for captaincy, I would choose Dravid any day. This was exactly what Vengsarkar had in mind when he appointed Sachin as VC for the World cup. But the board had his hands tied in dropping Sachin and Ganguly for this tour atleast.

It will be interesting to see if any of the players in the ODI team deliberately underperforms to discredit the Sachin-less-team.

India w/ Tendulkar + Ganguly = Loss against Bangladesh
India w/o Tendulkar + Ganguly = Win against Bangladesh

Therefore,

Tendulkar + Ganguly = Reason for the Loss.

Another pathetic performance by Indians. Yes, they won but the way they won is pathetic. Only way India wins now-a-days is by a one-man brilliance and in this case it is Dhoni.

One would expect them to thrash BD thoroughly particularly after the humiliating defeat in their hands in WC. But it was not to be in case of India - they allowed BD score 250 in 47 overs and then the all-too-familiar collapse.

Look at the bowling figures of Zaheer Khan. Why did Sreesanth bowl only 5 overs ? Look at the innings of Sehwag and Dravid. Just pathetic and a familiar story all over again.

Check out the above link. Bunch of jokers.. Should this victory be celebrated so highly, by taking stumps and keeping them as soviegners??

It is so shameful to notice that they are not working towards a long term goal.
