There are 2 tours . One is business/financial park tour and other one covers downtown/china town/little India areas. Depending on your transit time and the timing of these tours, you could take both tours or one tour.

There is no visa requirement as they will not let you out of the bus or airport and they will take the passport away from you before you board the bus.

Have minimal hand luggage with you as you will be going to the end of the terminal and getting in and out of the bus 4 times if you take both tours. It's free tour with english speaking guide, so you have nothing to lose :-).

You will need to remember to get a locker for the luggage. You need to walk some distance to get anything other than your minimal hand bag into the locker.

it's a nice tour and worth taking. however it fills up quickly so see if there's a way to prebook it via your travel agent. one thingI I noticed, going from the US, singapore doesnt seem as posh as when visiting isingapore from india the first time ;)

There are two tours:

1) you have to book before immigration. This is the city tour. They don't let you out of the bus.

2) You can clear immigration and be a free bird. They have free buses to take you to shopping centers. Immigration is no hassle, just takes few minutes. No questions asked. I am USC. Not sure about other citizens.
