This seems to be going from bad to worse. Irrespective of what the complaint is, she still deserves to be treated as a woman. This picture tells a sad story of a medal winning athlete.

Want to watch the game. Not sure which channel might telecast. Is it Ten Sports? Does anyone know?

The Pak players reaction after the victory was bad. They won a hard fought match, so expected emotions to run high but players need to be able to distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in victory/loss.

I find Warner's needling similarly unwarranted and disgusting. But he was fined only 15% of his fees and desis were fined 30%. I think our own Kohli also showed the middle finger to spectators once, cant recollect if it was an international match or IPL.

Very disappointing day overall for desi sports fans. Wish India had won! Wish Lingaa had released later, Thalaiva would have been free to lend a helping fingernail :-)

Saina blasts sports ministry, demands Padma Bhushan:

Unbecoming of a great sportswoman that she is. She has ways to go and I'm sure she will get many more awards including the one she is aspiring, but why such desperation? She can learn a lesson or 2 on how to handle sports stardom from another badminton star of yesteryears?Prakash Padukone.

Saina's outburst belies her extraordinary conduct until now. Really surprised to see this. But there is no denying that there is a lot of lobbying behind those awards which can be really frustrating to straightforward people who dont know how to "play ball". Considering that they have to deal with such things their success becomes even more special. She has to remember that she is no Jwala Gutta :-) and I say that as a compliment. Hope she can get over this and focus on the shuttle. Wish her all the best.

She wants to be treated like a Tendulkar or Dhoni, which wont happen in India, sooner she realized that better it would be for her. Badminton is picking up but would never reach cricket.
