Everyday cooking

While in India, cooking twice/thrice a day is kind of the norm.

What is the typical breakfast/lunch/dinner routine for Desis abroad. Is it normal to cook fresh daily? Lack of domestic help, availability of frozen food, spouse being accomodative(?) etc demotivates one from cooking fresh daily.

Thoughts?

If the preparation is done over the week end like cutting the veggies etc making the roti dough ready, then the cooking time can be sliced by 1/2.
