kid lagging behind in school.Llooking for counsellor

Hi
My son is in 2nd grade in international school and till 1 st grade was in Montessori system
in US. Now I find that he is not able to cope up with the education system.
I have been told that he might have to repeat 2nd grade. He is normal kid otherwise
but academically lagging way behind and bit immature for his age when compared with children of same age. Most of his classmates have started from KG in the same school where as he started just in 2nd grade in this school.Has anyone faced similar issue.Does anyone know of good child psychologist /counselor /skill assessor in Bangalore who can identify his problems and also talents. Is there a school in Bangalore which does not focus too much on academics and helps develop the child's natural talents/abilities.
