Hello r2i parents,

Iam pretty sure there are many of you who may be in the same boat as Iam, And I want to start the this thread unless theres one thread in place for this....

We are R2i'g this May and my son would be going to 3rd grade next school year .Its been a sudden decision on our end, and while applying for schools I found out most of them NPS/Freedom/Brigade have enterance exams in Math/English and hindi....

When I repeatedly requested from the school, information on what level of coverage they do inthese subjects for 2nd grade especially in MAth and Hindi (CBSE Syllabus) so that I can prepare my son for the enterance tests, they were least helpful, andthe answers I get are ' CBSE 2nd std syllabus, or I don't know)...

I look forward to from this forum to get answers to my questions from parents who hadd planned their move and coached their kids accordingly, or from parents who have gone through this before... Please share that information, so that I can prepare my son for the same....

CBSE follows the NCERT curriculum. All the NCERT textbooks are online.
You can download the books and use them to coach your child.

Sneha, follow these steps.

Step1:click on below link.
http://ncert.nic.in/NCERTS/textbook/textbook.htm

Step2: Choose the Class II -> from Select Class, Mathemetics -> from Select Subject and Math Magic ->from Select Book Title dropdown(picklist) shown at the top of page and click on "Go" butoon

Step 3: You will receive a new page with links to chapters. Click on each link to download each chapter separately.
I don't think there is a way to download the entire book in one click. You will have to download each chapter separately. You may want to use some third party tool(PDF creator) to merge all chapters that you have downloaded and make it as one big text book.

Also instead of following the syllabus for test, check the school that you plan to put your kid. Most school publish their syllabus for the test. Just prepare kid only for those points. This will be less burden both for you and the kid.
