I received a call for Technical Interview on May 18th and the HR told me after two days, that I cleared it and scheduled for HR interview, which didn't happen until May 24 th, after this I was told there will be another final round, but need to submit my scanned documents(Passport front/back,PAN card, Offer letters, Paystubs, Degree Certificate, Degree marks card). I sent them all as scanned copies. I received my final interview on 4th June. The next day I got an email from HR that I've cleared this as well and I will get an offer within 2-3 days. I waited and til today I've not received any offer letter from Accenture. I sent emails to HR and try calling them, they do not even pickup the phone any more. Not sure if this was all a genuine recruitment process or some HR folks wanted to steal my identity. If any one in the forum had gone through this, can you please advice what should I do now. (Apart from Wait........)

I don't have personal exp with Accenture, but I see no need to panic (identity theft etc.). Big company's HR dept won't do such things.

It's very likely that they are doing background check on you using the documents submitted. Since it has been only 7 days since your final discussion with HR, wait for another week. International background checks (since your current location says Washington DC) take up to 2 weeks via 3rd party agents that these companies employ. They also do checks on your Indian education and/or employment in some cases. That takes time too. Most companies do background checks after you accept offer, that too after they tell you explicitly. But you never know..

There may also be a case wherein there are 2 or 3 final cuts and they are sequentially trying out each one of them with an offer. Your turn may come after those ahead don't accept the offer.

It's better not to annoy them also during this critical period. There is a very good chance of you getting the offer.

What you can do now:-
- Check with your references mentioned in the profile/provided separately if they were contacted.
- Just ask HR if they are doing a background check and if yes, when would you expect a call. Email would suffice as you shouldn't sound too 'interested' before an offer is on the table.
- If you happen to know a company insider, it's OK to have them make a casual inquiry about your case with HR. Use any of your existing Linkedin contacts or their contacts.
- If nothing comes back even after 2 weeks from the date of final interview, just move on. If you reached them via a third party consultant or internal referral, they would have been notified if you didn't make the final cut. If you went directly via job site, they may or may not inform you about the final rejection. 2 weeks is a reasonable period of time till which you are still in play.

Well if they are doing background check I dont have any problem with that, except, the HR should tell me that

This is really shocking, that means they are choosing the best one or the one with least money? If they have not made up their mind yet, why ask all the documents?

I guess I already did annoy them.

My suggestion is keep trying other companies also in parallel and choose the best offer you get. I also had the experience of waiting 1-2 months to get the final offer from another MNC (after clearing all interviews). I think that is normal in India.

I have friends in Accenture, it does take a while there. After landing here, my friends were ready to recommend me for the recruitment going on now, and said it would take 2- 3 months to reach the final stage.

Been there done that. This happened to me. After 5 interviews there was no news whatsoever. So be cautious.

Hi,

I faced a telephonic interview with Accenture in the month of June 2011. After 2 weeks, I got a mail stating that I cleared the tech round and were asking me to submit the documents for the BGC. Its August 8 today and still no response from them. I sent couple of mails, they replied once telling that they will schedule a final round of interview. Don't know when they will call.

Hi,
I was selected for BA - Insurance P&C by Accenture on 23 JUL, on very next day I emailed scanned copies of all my documents. In the next week HR called me twice for location confirmation and everything and said that they will roll out the offer in 2-3 days but it hasn't happened yet.
Last I have heard is they are not releasing any offers right now (for any area of expertise). Does anyone have any news? Is there anyone on the same boat as I am on?

Thanks,
Akash G
