I am currently residing in Canada and is evaluating an opportunity to return to India and work for the Indian division of my current employer (tier 1 in the automotive manufacturing industry). Since I have been away from India for a very long time, am not sure what is a genuine offer in terms of the following,

Base Salary

Benefits / perks

Relocation details

Job Details

Position - Operations Manager (level 3 from top)
Experiance - 16 years (India, Malaysia, Canada, USA)
Canadian salary - $110K
Employment Term - a min of 3 years to whatever
Location - Chennai

All guidance and inputs will be much valuable and appreciated

If your employer is asking you to relocate, my guess would be

Base Salary : 30-35L

Benefits / perks : Company paid house, car, bonus etc

Relocation details : Air-fair for family and shipping of goods.

Numbers might be little bit lower if you asked for the relocation.

One of my contacts got a similar deal in India. He had 15 yrs exp in US, got an offer as Director with the same co. which wanted to start India operations in chennai. He got paid almost $125K + car + HRA + Driver+ kids school fees in an International School. Full relo paid (1st class flight tickets for family included for 1st trip).
