I got an interview call from GS Bangalore and I am looking to return to India. I went through few rounds of their interview process in 1 month time frame. GS is ridiculously well known for their lengthy interview process is what I have heard from many - but this is mostly about their US interviews, no clue about how it works in India. Now I have been waiting for a week without any communication from their side after my last round.

Does anybody know how the process is in India for GS. DO they take a long time to get back to you or should I take it as a no-chance long-gone affair.

I also have the same question. I was interviewed in 4 telephonic rounds from GS recently with the last interview on June 14th. The HR got back saying she will schedule a 5th in-person interview round but there is no news from that end.

Has anyone on the forum have any idea how long do the Indian interview rounds typically take?

What position is this for?

They take their sweet long time :) Few years back when I was trying to move to India, i had ten rounds & still there were few more left as per the recruiter.. In the mean time I coud interview with companies, got an offer and was set go for India.
For the folks in India, normally 3-5 telephonic rounds and one full day of interviews at their office.

Well, this is for their Audit team in Bangalore, I am not sure about the position. It was mentioned to me that I would be hired as an Associate but at some senior level given my experience.

What position are you getting hired into?

Above a Senior Analyst - everyone is a VP (from approx. 9 years of experience). There are atleast 6-8 levels within a VP - 3 associate leves, 3 manager levels (manager, director, ED) etc.

I was interviewed for Associate position. I have 3 years s/w development, and 2 year post MBA experience as an Analyst. Any clue on what level will I be offered if I get thru?

It is in fact very streched. I have had 6-7 rounds till now and I haven't got any offer yet (Though I am hoping that I will... soon) :)

Can anyone give a ballpark estimate regarding the salary at associate level? can glassdoor numbers be believed?
