Folks,

I would greatly appreciate some advice regarding my R2I plans. I have a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 10 years of experience, 8 years in automotive industry. I have worked here as a Design Engineer (CAD), FEA Engineer, Product Engineer and Project Lead. I would prefer to work in the Automotive industry after R2I, but wouldn't mind working in other industries if find a good opportunity. Does anyone know if I have any hope of landing a good job in India with my education/skills? I think it would have to be most likely in Pune, but it would be ideal if I can find something in my hometown, Hyd. What is the best way to find a job with my skills in India? Also, what kind of salary can I expect with my education and skills?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/leads.

Any R2I experience from a Mech. Engineer, could you please respond. I am trying to see if I will have any chance of finding a decent job after R2I. I applied for few jobs some time ago through naukri.com and monster, but got NO feedback.

Thanks,

Freinds,

I R2Ied in May 2006 and started working for a Indian automotive supplier company ever since and quit recently. I would like to talk to R2Iites in the space in the automotive industry to share/exchange info.

I R2Ied to India in May 2006 after 18 years in US automotive exp. I worked for a company for 18 months and quit. It all depends on what you want to do here in India. There are lots of opportunities you may find but I would like to caution you do not accept any jobs over the phone or through emails. You need to visit the place before you takeup the job. You need do a lot of scrutiny of your job profile etc etc. One thing is for sure the auto industry is certainly not like the IT industry. If you need more info you may email me using my PM.
