Visiting Birmingham - any must dos? [from Desi's POV]

Hi All,

going to be in Birmingham next week, I'll bring back the fotos for the group, before I go can someone who visited/lives there give me idea as to what interesting places to see, from Desi's point of view, something like:

Balaji Temple, Bullring mall, Soho road [get to see lotta veggie Indian restaurants], sweets shops ...what else is out there?

Observation Balcony:

Monday through Saturday 10 am - 10 pm and Sunday 1 pm - 10 pm.



Holiday Hours: Vulcan Park and Museum opens at 1 pm on Thanksgiving and New Year's Day and closes at 6 pm on July 4th. Vulcan Park and Museum is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.





DeSoto Caverns Park (Don't miss it !!)

I think you have misunderstood of Birmingham in Alabama with the Birmingham in UK.

I m sure CNU is talking about Birmingham in UK.

Depends if u r visiting alone of with your family u can pick and choose from the above links.

National Sea life centre, Cannon Hill Park, Cadbury World, Jewellery Quarter Museum, Waterworld, Snowdome etc

That explains! Otherwise there is nothing "must" in Birmingham or in the entire state of alabama, except get the hell out.

Thanks folks,

Yeah, I meant Birmingham UK[sorry should have been clearer]. It was an absolute joy to visit the "City of Culture". Very vibrant and young crowd!

Desi, Have been to Amsterdam already, - I highly recommend it!
