Hi All,
I am thinking of taking a few days trip to Delhi or Goa from Bangalore during my next India trip in August. I had heard a few years ago that certain airlines were offering super low prices for advance bookings. Anyone know if such deals still exist any more?

I doubt there may be the same kind of deals that we saw a few years ago. Back then the airlines were trying to attract more people to fly and that's the reason for those spectacular deals.
During my last visit in '09 I saw every Dick and Harry flying and they'd not have even thought about flying a few years ago. The prices were two fold more than what I paid a year before.
I sensed there is too much money out there and we NRIs are the ones shopping around for deals etc. :p

May be because we NRIs earned every dollar and slowly added up versus Indians making a few lakhs or crores suddenly out of no where by selling their ancestor real estate properties :)..

I'm traveling twice this year to India & the best deals I got were on makemytrip.com especially if you are booking in USD. If you try booking in INR, then the prices are expensive.
Also, if you are planning internal trips within India, then try booking multi-destination trips that cover your internal locations. You will save more money compared to booking the domestic fare separately. In fact, don't get surprised if your fare is cheaper than just the US-INDIA-US round trip fare. E.g. few years back, my US-DELHI-PUNE-US fare came out cheaper than US-BOMBAY-US fare.
