Things that have annoyed me so far:

1. Wet bathroom floors
2. Auto drivers that somehow know you are NRI and demands Rs.300 that would usually only cost Rs.100
3. Powercut in Madras
4. Family and friends that refuse to take out their wallet when you are around

Edit: Actually, the list is longer, so this list is what I remember for now :))

I think you mean, wet toilet seats! A curtain or a glass partition like in the US would help...but I understand

The key is to use madras bashai. Instinctively, I switch in madras bashai when I deal with auto drivers, mechanics and even vegetable vendors. Once you use Madras bashai, there's not even a remote chance that you are an NRI.

3. Powercut in Madras

I call it govt. mandated family time. When there is a power cut, we usually get together with the entire family in one room or go up to the terrace with a tortoise coil and yap about all the extended family members until we fall asleep

This is a good one! Key is to avoid those outings with them... :)

Personally, have found Dixcy to be a lot more comfortable than FotL or Hanes. Can buy them online and delivered home next day... with CashonDelivery option (Try that USA!!!)

With Cash on Delivery option, what happens if no one is at home when item is delivered?

The courier will try 3 attempts to deliver the product and each time they call first before trying to deliver. If two or three products are returned to the seller (due to customer not picking up the product despite the multiple attempts by the courier) I think the seller will blacklist the cell phone number to prevent future shipments.

At restaurants - coins in the saunf plate. And then fingers fishing out those coins.
