Though I think the ban is ridiculous, those pretty girls look cool in that attire.

Those girls look cool, but that news and picture were fake as I researched further. Although there are colleges in India that ban jeans and many other things.

[h=1]India road crashes kill 146,133 people in 2015[/h]
Just in front of my small silent suburb of chennai, last week, a drunken lorry driver ran over 2 people at 6 am.

Is Indian mindset mature to handle advance vehicles ( like a 4 wheeler ? ).

I was in India for short week and everyday , there is a bus hitting lorry or something hitting something else...A nightmare.

146,133 / 1,000,000,000 :cool

Accidents happen everywhere even in UK i bet there will be atleast 1 accident in motorways on daily basis.. its a human error..

Ofcourse there is scope of improvement in traffic sense in india.

Indian traffic sense is a joke.

I have suffered 4 incidents so far in my 7yrs of driving in India + 9yrs in UK and have met 2 accidents in each country:

India:
1. At Bangalore at Banerghatta road, at a red light junction, the lorry came from left hand side and overtook my stationary car when the light was red and turned right and got away. In the process the lorry overturned my stationary car doing a lot of damage to the car & a nearby biker. Lorry simply sped away.
2. An angry car driver blocker my car's away at Gurgaon and came out whirling out abusive words and opened my car door in a threat to beat the shit out of me. Reason: I was driving in my left lane and his right lane was going slower and I didn't notice that he wants to overtake me. Possibly my bald head and aged looks + family in the car calmed him and he had pity on my and he left.

UK:
1. A bus failed to brake on time at red light junction and hit my stationary car from behind at red light junction at London. Nobody was hurt and matter was settled amicably.
2. My stationery car in car park was hit by a break down lorry - the broken down car rolled back from the top of lorry and hit my car. Driver was waiting for 2 hours when I came and matter was settled amicably

Choice is on you to draw conclusions

i have one word for this - denial. But nothing surprising. Most drivers on roads in India have no driving sense, drive extremely aggressively, no concern for other drivers. If one want to put his/her head in the sand then not much can be done.

Under estimate. There are on an average 5-6 road deaths in UK every day.
But then when you prorate to Indian population, that comes to less than 50000.

You are also right that 'there is scope of improvement in traffic sense in india'.
Another underestimate I would add.
