Light fun thread. Tell us about your member_id? Why you chose that. Were any other choices unavailable?

Even those with r2i or Indian city name in member_id surely have a story!

Do you feel like changing it to something else now?

modus_vivendi means "A manner of living; a way of life. A temporary agreement between contending parties pending a final settlement." I chose it then to signify the status of "to R2I or not" in my household. And, of course, coz it would need a google search for most to know the meaning : )

Now, google shows it is also a brand of designer mens underwear! Karma! :emcrook:

Alternate choices for me would be: Pakkinti Ammayi (girl next door), Carpe diem (seize the day!), SixPackMama :)

Inspired (copied :) ) from another forum. Seemed appropriate for this forum.I like this id devasthanam (thanks munna_bhai).

Imagine getting into political discussions and being called not secular with that id :).

Would rather go by my real name after moving back to India. Don't want to trouble the admins (so it would be farfromhome for a while).

White Cloud - not sure if there is any meaning but read somewhere about it - like a Zen concept.

Nowhere to go, coming from nowhere,
no goals, no desitanation,
Wherever a white cloud reaches is the goal.

Others names could be ZKG(Zoru ka Ghulam) , gibbersih, gaonwasi, VMC(Videsh main Chaprasi) as per my friends:)

I am bad at remembering userids. So, I picked something that I will not forget.

Yes, the other choices were not COC worthy. :)

No, I don't feel like changing it to something else now. Why? Okay, would like to have my id with "_" at the beginning (_boca2blr).

Except SixPackMama all sound good (to me ) :) , SixPackMama forms a mental image of women body builders, not pleasant :)

Sitting the whole day in the office in formal settings I liked the idea of interacting freely with people of the same origin in this forum. The highlight was the contrast to official type of interaction and standing. So, I wanted to choose an id that reflects that free flowing nature of interaction. In layman's terms - "layman" seemed to be apt. So, I chose it.
