When Ayn Rand published her 'Atlas shrugged' and promoted 'objectivism' and in her non fiction writings, most people criticized her thinking but her works gained recognition later on..She was considered ahead of time..

Do you believe in this 'ahead of time' that some people might be more evolved than others but others eventually catch up..?? Or there will be 'out-of-box' thinkers in every generation and this 'ahead of time' is just an overhype ??

Who hypes them? I thought generally they are stoned!

There will always be out of the box thinkers.
There were those who opposed Sati, child marriage, inheritance only to sons who were clearly ahead of their times.

Ahead of time thinkers are very common at least in Physical Sciences (Blotzman comes to mind) . Not sure about Ayn Rand. "Selfishness" existed way before Atlas Shrugged.
