I gave a try to trueroots (www.trueroots.us) India calling.
Beware of the following:
1) No way to change the account password. You have to use the password given by them. When I called CSR, "sorry we don't support password change feature". You cannot even create your own password. Stuck with the cryptic password given by the system.

trueroots Phone service
I saw a news snippet for this on a desi TV a few days back.
However from that it seemed like this was an internet telephony service - like Skype. i.e. PC to phone calling.
That doesn't seem to be the case - is that right?
Also 7.2 cents/min is good but not that great - not good enough to make people want to swich over from Reliance or Airtel.

these companies like trueroots, mpingi raza and other riffraff all fall into the bin of here-today-gone-tomorrow. better to stick to an established brand. IMHO.

The software is pretty crappy. However, I do not believe it is a fly by night operation as it is owned by BSNL.
btw, they are allowing the password change now, thank god !
