Apartments in Dallas Suburbs (Irving/Grapevine/Coppell/Carrollton/Euless

I have found a position in the Las Covinas Blvd, Irving, TX and hence planning to find an Apt in Irving/Grapevine/Coppell/Carrollton/Euless/Farmers Branch area.

Could you please suggest some nice economical, peaceful, safe/crime-free apartment communities close to public transportation and within 5 to 10 miles from Las Covinas area.

I dont have kids yet. So schools are not a criteria in the mix currently.

Please suggest.

Las colinas itself is not that great on being low crime, a while back there were gangs who operated in the region focusing primarily on Indian homes, to rob gold jewellery , so I would not suggest the las-colinas neighborhood. Irving and more specifically valley ranch neighborhood is much better and safer comparatively, with also a heavy desi presence, so that according to me would be a better choice, I suppose it is within 10 miles of Las-colinas too. There are other areas like carrollton, flower mound, grapevine, etc, but they all might be farther than your desired distance.

I would suggest in Irving in and around Cimmaran park area where lot of Indians live. Indian store is nearby. There is a good library and walmart/walgreen are not far off. My son lived in Lexington apartment on Santa Fe trail. Oaks is also a good appartment. But we liked Lexington very much.

i would restrict the search to - North Irving/Coppell/

you should be able to find a "safety/friendly" apartment in this boundary (see google map)

If you are looking for an apartment in Coppell, I highly recommend this community http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Coppell-St-Marin-Apartments.html. I know people who lived there for so many years and really liked it.
